Orange County Fair Confirms 2012 Dates

The Orange County Fair Association confirmed its 2012 dates last evening.  The most notable change is that the fair will be a three-day fair, running from Thursday through Saturday, July 26-28, 2012.  The 4-H auction will still be held Saturday night of the fair; other 4-H events will need to be adjusted for the new time frame.  Clean-up and animal load-out will occur on Sunday, so all families need to attend and participate in clean-up on Sunday.

Please add these important dates to your calendar!  As many are aware, there has been considerable discussion regarding possibly changing the dates of the Orange Fair for future summers.  The fair board will form a committee on September 21st to explore options regarding a different fair weekend in 2013 and beyond.  Once options become available, the Extension Office will survey 4-H members, volunteers and parents for input.
