BIT N BRIDLE CLUB COMPETES IN NORTHERN DISTRICT HORSE JUDGING CONTEST



On Saturday, November 20, 2010, three 4H members from the Orange County Bit N Bridle 4H club attended the Northern District Horse Judging Contest at Summer Breeze Farm in Free Union, Virginia. Seniors, Kaci Meads and Delaney O’Donnell formed a team with the Lousia County Seniors and received a 4th Place in the Halter Division; a 6th place in the Performance division; and 6th Place Overall High Point Team. Junior 4Her, Charlotte Manvell teamed up with 3 girls from Prince William County. As a team, they received a 6th Place finish in the Halter Division; 2nd Place in the Performance Division and placed 4th overall. At this contest both Seniors and Juniors judged 9 classes which included: Halflinger Ponies, Stock- type Horses, and Hunters. Seniors gave reasons to the judges for 2 of the 9 classes.
