Natural Horse Addicts Members Earn Top Three Places in ACTHA Obstacle Challenge!

Three members from the Orange 4-H horse club, Natural Horse Addicts, rode in an ACTHA Obstacle Challenge at Independence FUNie Farm in Culpeper, VA on Sunday, November 6th and placed as the top three Junior riders! Ashlyn Ward rode Valvora in the cleanest round to take first place! She was followed closely by Rachel Humberger on Cutter for second and Eryn Connell on Scout for third place!

Other club members volunteered for the event raising over $60 for the club and helping by judging and checking in riders! Club members Anna Ehrenberg, an exchange student from Germany and Amna Akram an exchange from Pakistan, both of whom are attending local high schools for the 2014-15 school year braved the cold temperatures to serve as judge assistants, running timers, reseting obstacles and Sharkey Keifer worked with his dad, John Keifer to register riders and sell hot chocolate and snacks to riders! Club leader, Bonnie Schmeider served as a judge for the event!

The American Competitive Trail Horse Association's (ACTHA) purpose is to give recognition to the American Trail Horse.
