Jamestown 4-H Center is offering specialty camps before this summer camping season! These camps are open to anyone around the state who is interested.
Arts and Technology Camp – February 6-8, 2015 (ages 9-13)
Youth will select a tract that will focus on arts, technology or both. The tracts are – Movie Making, Robotics, General Art and Photography.
Spring Cloverbud Camp – March 14-15, 2015 (ages 5-8)
We all have heroes. People we look up to and want to be when we grow up. This weekend, we are going to become those heroes! All heroes don’t have capes and super powers, but they are heroes as well. We are going to meet some “Superheroes” that make sure that we are safe as well.
Marine Science Camp – April 7-9, 2015 (ages 9-13)
You will have a hands-on experience when we explore and experiment with: watersheds, oysters, fish and more. You will see what lives in the water in the day and night by seining and building robots that will go underwater!
“Jammin’ on the James” Water Camp – May 29-31, 2015 (ages 9-13)
The Water Camp allows youth the opportunity to be experience the James River in an extremely safe environment. At 348 miles long, the James River is the 12th largest river in the United States that is based entirely in one state: Virginia. They will have the opportunity to experience Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Fishing and Water Quality.
