Virginia 4-H Healthy Living Summit. This Summit was originally scheduled for January, but had to be postponed due to rising COVID cases. Now that we are over the COVID peak, the Summit has been rescheduled for April 30th , 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM and will be held at the George Washington Carver Research Center in Culpeper, VA. The fee to attend will be $10.00 and covers lunch, snacks, and supplies. This summit is one you will not want to miss as it will feature hands-on and engaging workshops focused on the four H’s:
· Head – Mental Health and Social/Emotional Wellbeing (Glitter Jars)
· Heart – Community Gardens (Make Your Own Pizza Garden and Pizza)
· Hands – Physical Activity (Line Dancing)
· Health – Nutritious Snacks (Trail Mix and MyPlate)
In addition, the Summit will feature keynote speaker, Samantha Whysong, 2020 Virginia 4-H Healthy Living Youth in Action Award Winner highlighting her project work, an anti-bullying campaign. Registration will be collected via Google Forms and teens may register using the following link: Google Form. Registration will close on April 10.
