Be Part of the 2013 4th of July Parade in Washington DC!

Virginia 4-H groups have been invited to participate in the 2013 4th of July Parade in Washington, D.C.  They need volunteers to help carry helium balloons, flags, large feather flags, stars, and banners for the parade. Volunteers that help carry balloons need to be over the age of 18 and weigh more than 110lbs. On average, they wouldn’t like to go younger than 14 years of age for any volunteer position, if possible.  Volunteers would need to report that morning at 9:45.  The parade starts at 11:45 and ends at 2.  The parade route is one mile long and is all flat. The parade route steps off from the intersection of 7^th and Madison Drive, travels one block to Constitution Avenue, turns left onto Constitution Avenue and goes from 7^th and Constitution Avenue to 17^th and Constitution Avenue where it begins to disband.
