Albemarle County is hosting it's first ever Livestock Field Day at Durbin Farm (4522 Catterton Rd, Free Union VA) in Free Union on Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. The purpose of this event is to help prepare youth for upcoming summer shows and sales. Participants will learn how to prepare themselves for the show ring, how to approach and interact with buyers, and how to become an All Star. Youth will also get the opportunity to practice showing large animals as well as rabbits and poultry.
This is a free event and is open to youth from Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, and Orange. Pre-registration is encouraged and appreciated.
